I love Disneyland! I was able to meet Kyle in California for the weekend of a business trip he had there. It was such a fun weekend! The fun started when I got to California. Kyle had set up a car to pick me up from the airport to take me to the hotel. Not only did I feel pretty important that I had my own guy in a suit and sunglasses holding a card with my name on it at the baggage claim, but then I end up riding in a stretch limo! All I needed was huge sunglasses and stilettos heels to be signed on to my own reality show.

So, once I got to hotel, I just hung out with kyle and followed him around while he worked. He and his team work so hard at these events, I don't know if I could do it! Kyle does great though! Saturday morning I went to a meeting where JR Martinez and Karina from Dancing with the Stars were there to speak and do a dance from the show. I am a huge fan of DWTS, so I was SO excited to meet them! I was able to go back stage before and meet them, get pictures, and watch their rehearsal. JR gave a great motivation speech at the meeting and of course had me in tears. If you don't know his story, Google him. He's awesome. Karina was great too. Kyle now has a huge crush on her, but that's okay because so do I. She's beautiful and so sweet. That was definitely a highlight of the trip.

On Sunday morning, Kyle was done with work, so we spent most of the day at Disneyland. It was so fun! We rode a few of the small rides, I ate a Dole Whip Float (yum), and we walked around. It's such a fun place!

I had so much fun and I'm so happy I was able to go!

Baby Update: I'm currently 20 weeks along. HALF WAY THERE! Currently cravings: oranges and chocolate milk. I can now feel Baby move and kick. Words can not describe how amazing it is. It is the best feeling in the whole world. Baby moves and kicks the most when I'm in the car and "Moves like Jagger" comes on. I'm not a fan of the song, but I guess Baby is.

I'm feeling so much better. The nausea is pretty much gone (awesome!), but I'm still tired all the time.

I'm loving this and can't wait until June!

As of right now, I'm 15 weeks along. Due June 8th. I've been really sick, but the last few days I've felt a TINY bit better. I hope to start having more energy and feeling less nauseous soon. Besides that, I've never been so happy to be sick and tired all the time. :)

Last week I went on a week long vacation with my family to visit the New England area. (Kyle couldn't go due to work...boo.) My brother served his mission there, so we went and saw some places he served and met some people he knew there. It was really cool to see where he was for 2 years! We did a lot while we were there. We spent some time in a town called Framingham which was one of his areas he lived in. It is really close to Cape Cod, so we went there and took a ferry to Martha's Vineyard. It was beautiful there! From there we went to Boston. In Boston we toured Fenway Park and went on some historical tours in the downtown area. After Boston we drove up to Maine for a couple of days. It was beautiful and I loved seeing the ocean. We then went to New Hampshire and stayed with my brother-in-law's family for a night. Its such a beautiful place with TONS of trees! I had a ton of fun with my family! Here are some pictures I took on the trip (more on the artistic side).

That's all I've been thinking since Saturday morning. That was the morning of the half marathon that Sarah and I have been training for. It was fun, but cold and a little painful too. We started out by waking up at 4am and heading up to Park City. This was the all women's Pink Half Marathon, so we tried to deck out in pink, which we felt like we were the only ones that did. We eventually saw some girls in tu-tu's, so that made us feel a little better about dressing a little crazy. We got to Park City and took the bus up to the starting line. It was snowing, windy, and FREEZING! The night before I had gone to Saver's and picked up some cheap coats we could wear and then just ditch when and if it warmed up. We ran about the first 5 miles in these ridiculous coats (see picture below!), but I was grateful we had them, they helped a lot. So we ran the race and ended up coming in at 2 hours 45 minutes, not the best time ever, but I was happy with it. I was pretty sore the next day, but I'm now feeling back to normal. I'm really glad I did it. It was a great feeling crossing that finish line and seeing Kyle, Jon and my parents cheering us on. I had a great time, but I think I'm good for another few years before running another one. :)

Purple Stuff!

Kyle and a bunch of his friends ran in the Ragnar Race this year. This is a huge run where you get a team of 12 or less and run 192 miles. (Blah...I'd never do it) During the race and right after the race Kyle's exact words were "I will NEVER do this again." But a few days later he was thinking that it was pretty fun and he'd actually consider it again, so I guess we'll see. Kyle had 3 legs of the race and did really well! Luckily his knees didn't go out on him and he made it in good time. Their team finished in 32 hours. Like I said, I will never be involved in this kind of race, but kudos to those who do! Good job Kyle and all the members of the Purple Stuff team!

If you're wondering where their team name came from, it's sort of a inside joke. It has to do with mocking a "Sunny D" commercial for a video they made in high school. I'll see if I can get it up on my blog cuz it's pretty funny.

Today I mowed the lawn and it made me realize that Spring is just around the corner. I'm sure there are a few more snow storms in the works, so I'm not getting TOO excited here. :) But jeez, it's felt like a really long winter and I'm excited for the warm weather. The grass is green, it's getting warmer outside, the flowers are budding...I love it all! Here are some pictures I took around our yard that shows Spring is just starting...hooray!

She is originally from Ghana, Africa. She moved to the U.S. 8 years ago. She's married and has an ADORABLE baby boy. She is also a crazy good runner and is currently training to qualify for the 2012 Olympics in London. Everyone cheer her on when she gets there! :)

The other day Kyle and I were folding laundry and ended up with this at the bottom of the basket.

Yes it's true, there are 8 socks that are missing their matches. Seriously, where does the other sock go???? I don't understand this phenomenon and it really bugs me. So, if anyone out there knows where "sock limbo" is, let me know...because we are sure to have a plethora of socks there.

I just signed up for a 1/2 marathon and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. Part of me is excited and wants to run it, but another part (the bigger part) is saying NOOOO! NOT AGAIN!!!
It's not until October, so I won't start training for a few months, so I guess that gives me time to let it sink in.
The great thing about signing up for races is that it gives me motivation run everyday. And it helps a lot that I have a personal trainer (Sarah, the running addict).
I can't wait for it to be warm outside so I can run in the mornings, so here's hoping for warm, sunny days ahead!

A couple weeks ago, I met Kyle in Orlando after a business trip he had there. We stayed there for a couple of days and went to Universal Studios/Island of Adventure. It was so much fun! I really enjoyed the weather, that most of the time stayed in the 70's. The highlight of the trip was of course The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. My favorite part was the Harry Potter ride. It's a simulated ride where you feel like you are flying on a broom. I went on it about 5 or 6 times. Kyle's favorite part was the Butterbeer (which is delicious by the way). Kyle got pretty nauseous on the rides, which he's never had a problem with. He thinks the reason is that he's getting old, but I think it was the 3 butterbeers drank. :) If you are a Pottermaniac like I am, you have to go there someday. It was awesome!

I can't believe how fast Sarah's wedding is coming. Almost down to a week until the big day. She and Jon are very excited and just want the day to get here faster. Yesterday was Sarah's bridal shower. Thanks to all my aunts and cousins that came. It was really fun! Her wedding colors don't include the red and pink; my mom, Millie, and I just thought it was cute with roses to add those colors. And the reason for the "Pie" cupcakes is that Jon and Sarah love pie (Jon makes the yummiest pies ever) and they are having wedding pie instead of wedding cake at their reception. We are all so excited for Jon and Sarah and can't wait until the wedding! :)

I never have officially set New Year Resolutions, but I think this year I need to. I've decided that if I at least blog about them that I will actually accomplish them, so we'll see how it goes. I only have a few, I didn't want to get overwhelmed the first time doing this so here you go.

1. Slow down. I always feel like there are not enough hours in the day. After working full hour days, I try to get too many things done in the evenings that I feel rushed and stressed therefore I give up and never finish them. So I'm going to try to slow down and simplify my evenings and weekends.

2. Keep my house clutter-free. This past week I've had the de-cluttering bug. I've gone through just about every cupboard, drawer, and closet in the house and cleaned them out. Let's just say D.I. has a lot of stuff heading their way. I'd like to keep my house the way it is, it feels nice.

3. Don't complain so much. Sometimes I find myself being so negative about things going on in my life. I really need to remember all the great blessings I have. I'm really going to try to see the positive in every situation this year, whether at home or at work.

So, there you go. Wish me luck!

Oh, and I guess I'll add...

4. Lose 10 pounds. I think it's an un-written rule that you must have that as a resolution.

After a lot of convincing of Kyle, I got a dog! She is the sweetest thing ever. Plus, she's already potty trained! She's only 8 weeks old, so she sleeps a lot (except at 6 A.M. when she's ready to wrestle and run around). She loves to cuddle and lay next to Kyle when he's watching a game. Also, she gets the hiccups every morning when she wakes up, which I think is so funny. I'm already in love with her, but how could you not be??...just look at that face!

Lake Powell=my most favorite place in the world.

Lake Powell was awesome this year! I was only able to get one day off of work, but it was worth it just for the 2 days I was there. Almost everyone in the family went, so there was about 60 people. The first night, there was the most beautiful lightning storm I've ever seen. I got my camera out and got some pretty cool lightning shots. A lot of the time was spent lounging around watching the cute cousins play in the water and on the beach. We also went on some boat rides and a hike (that we go on every year) through a crack in the side of a cliff, it's amazing. I'm not a fan of tubing myself, but I love watching people go tubing. Its so funny to see the faces they pull and the crashes that happen when they hit a big wave (see Randi in tubing picture below ha ha!) The night before we were to pack up and leave, there was the craziest storm I've ever been caught in. I now know what they mean when they say "flash flood" because were were caught in the middle of one! It was insane! We all eventually ran for cover into the cars and trailers after our sleeping bags began to fill with water. Then proceeded to pack up camp, I'm sure you all can imagine how fun that was! Holy Muddy!

Movie Critic

For some reason, this past weekend was full of movies for us.

At the theater we watched...

Despicable Me -- Very cute. An entertaining and funny movie!
Inception -- BEST movie I've seen in a long time. I strongly recommend this one. Plus, it has Leonardo DiCaprio in it...that alone is a good enough reason to see it!

At home we watched...

Collateral -- This one was just okay for me. Nothing special. If you haven't seen it, you're not missing much.
No Country for Old Men -- VERY creepy, violent, and intense, but a great movie. Very good acting.
American Gangster -- I actually fell asleep during this movie. Not that is was bad, it was late and I was tired. But, in the words of Kyle, "it was freakin' awesome".

So there you have it...maybe that will help you decide on what movie to see next! :)

Viva Las Vegas

For my birthday a couple of months ago, Kyle got me a trip to Vegas. The trip was planned for the end of June so we killed two birds with one stone and counted it as a 5 year anniversary trip as well. We stayed at the Wynn hotel on the 57th floor so the view was amazing! While we were there, we saw Ka, a Cirque Du Soleil show and it was amazing. We spent a lot of the time in the casinos and laying by the pool. The weather was so hot, like being in a giant hair dryer, so I was loving it! Thanks for the trip Kyle, and happy anniversary!

The man-crush.

We all have one—it’s okay.

Developing and maintaining the man-crush is an art form—not unlike turning clay into a sculpture or a blank canvas into a masterpiece.

Some may showcase their man-crushes by declaring allegiance to “Team Edward” or “Team Jacob.” Others may celebrate the release of any George Clooney, Matt Damon or Brad Pitt movie—not too mention the three instances in which all three actors appeared in the same “Ocean’s” movies.

Some men are comfortable admitting their celebrity man-crushes, while others continue to remain in the man-crush closet.

Many man-crushes are those on the silver-screen, but for a large majority of men, their man-crushes may come in the form of a professional athlete. So please, let’s put aside all egos and bashfulness as we discuss the five steps of picking a professional athlete man-crush.

1. You only get one

Sorry, but multiple man-crushes are not permitted. You get one man-crush across the professional sports board. More than one man-crush can lead to confusion and conflicts of interest.

This intensifies the decision making process and requires deep thought and effort when choosing. Say you are an Atlanta Hawks fan and you choose Joe Johnson as your man-crush (with his 21.5 points per game and electrifying skills, not a bad choice). If you then decide to choose Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan as another man-crush, you run the risk of having to decide between the two on certain days of the year–due to the crossover of the NFL and the NBA seasons.

And just like women, you can’t be having to decide between two man-crushes.

Keep it to one.

2. He must be from your favorite team

What’s the point of having a man-crush from another team? An obvious part of the man-crush is rooting for the athlete to succeed.

Along with being on your favorite team, he must also be a current player on your team. If I’m a Green Bay Packers fan and my man-crush was at one time Brett Favre, as of three years ago, I would be required to change my man-crush.

A Yankees fan can not utilize any Red Sox player as a man-crush candidate. Likewise, if you are not a fan of the Cavs or the Lakers, you can not play the man-crush card on LeBron or Kobe.

Say I were a Utah Jazz fan (I am); my obvious man-crush choice would be All-Star Deron Williams (he is). Williams is averaging 18.6 points and 10.3 assists per game, and has been the face of a Jazz franchise that currently sits just 4.5 games back of the West number one seed.

But by utilizing the man-crush card on Williams, I would then be prohibited from using it on other players on other teams—sorry Chris Paul.

In journalism, reporters look to avoid topics and events that may cause a conflict of interest. Likewise, in choosing a man-crush, you must avoid conflicts of interest.

Keep it to your team.

3. He must be good

Only one of the players in this picture is a legitimate man-crush candidate.

Don’t waste your man-crush on someone who can’t hit the broad side of a barn. There’s a reason Gary Coleman is nobody’s celebrity man-crush.

“But he’s so nice.”

So what? Nice doesn’t equate a worthy man-crush. Niceness can certainly enhance a man-crush’s appeal, but it should in no wise be the foundation.

Your man-crush must possess all-star or near all-star statistics and capabilities. Nothing against Josh McRoberts of the Indiana Pacers, but 3.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in just over 10 minutes per game aren’t exactly man-crush-worthy statistics.

Your man-crush must be at least a viable part of the team.

4. Don’t be shy

Be proud of your man-crush. Don’t shy away from the chance to let others know your feelings. Feel free to let your sensitivity towards your man-crush be a major part in your attempts to pick up women.

Buy the merchandise and cheer louder when your player jukes a defender and drives the lane for a dunk. Go crazy when your man-crush leaves a linebacker in the dust en route to a touchdown. Let loose when your guy strikes out the side or leaves the yard in a June regular season MLB game.

The Jazz’s Kyle Korver may seem like more of a ladies’ man-crush. But don’t think there aren’t men who employ Korver as their man-crush. Don’t hesitate to wear his jersey and taunt opposing players with it after a long-range three.

Stay proud.

5. Don’t be creepy

That said, there’s a fine line between not being shy and being creepy. Stay away from creeping out those close to you or the athlete himself when cheering and supporting your man-crush. A jersey or a player t-shirt is completely acceptable. But longing to have their actual jersey or used sweatbands crosses over to the creepy side.

Just because Kevin Durant has Oklahoma City in the playoff mix and dropped in 29 points in the Thunder’s recent win over the New Orleans Hornets doesn’t mean you can hack his Blackberry or poke him on Facebook. Play it cool. Be proud, but don’t be creepy.

Keep it friendly.

There’s the rules. By adhering to these suggestions and steps, you won’t have to find your man-crush. He’ll find you.

So, get to work on developing the craft, Michelangelo.

Hello, this is Kyle. Well, we had some sad news in the Flanagan home tonight. Our dear Neville (Annie's Gecko) passed away. Annie is sad and I'm sad that she is sad. I dug a hole in the backyard, said a few words, and we laid him to rest. In response, I've penned this poem in memory of Neville.

Ode to Neville

Dear Neville, our friend
You were there till' the end

Last Saturday was Millie's baby shower. It was Dr. Seuss themed. My mom thought of the idea when she saw "Thing 1 and Thing 2" from The Cat in the Hat and since Millie is having twin boys, we thought it'd be perfect. It turned out really fun and a ton of people showed up (about 80 people)! Thanks to everyone that came!

Hey Everyone, it's Kyle!! The other night I was at the Jazz game and I saw this really cute girl standing next to some very tall people.

I told the cute girl to stand closer to one of the really tall people so that I could take a picture...and this is what was produced. Enjoy, I know I did.
Isn't it a great picture? I love that she almost looks afraid that Mark may take a step back and completely squash her. Kudos to Annie for being so brave! Much love!

Here are some pictures from our trip to Orlando. It was FREEZING! Record low temps while we were there, so that sucked, but it was still fun. My sister is my absolute HERO. She ran the Goofy Challenge, which you have to be absolutely insane to do. The challenge is one day you run a 1/2 marathon and the NEXT DAY run a FULL marathon! That is a total of 39.3 miles in just 2 days. I told you, you have to be completely loca en la cabeza to do it. But Sarah, being the very driven person she is, FINISHED it! I was so proud of her, she's been training for over a year and it was amazing to watch her cross the FINISH LINE. And ,even though she had an inflamed ligament in her knee, she pushed through the pain. She truly is my hero and is just awesome, that's all there is to it.
We had a really fun time in Florida, but next time, hopefully it won't be so cold!

So, here we are in what's supposedly "The Sunshine State", we'll it's been anything but sunny or warm. We keep hearing that it hasn't been this cold in the last 20 years and, of course, it's this cold on the weekend we are here. I was picturing myself laying out by the pool, getting a nice tan, but as you can tell from this picture, it's even more cold than in Utah. Oh well, we're still having a ton of fun. :)

It's 2:30 in the a.m. and I can't sleep. What is wrong with me? You'd think I'd fall right asleep seeings how the last few days have felt kinda hectic to me. Don't get me wrong, I did have a GREAT Christmas. I couldn't ask for better friends and family. A big THANK YOU to all of them for making Christmas so fun! It's been a lot of fun hanging out with everyone and to have Karissa, Brady, and Lily visiting. Also, it was so good to hear my baby brother's voice on the phone. It made me miss him so much, but he's amazing and doing so good. I couldn't be prouder of him.
Tonight I felt especially tired and crawled into bed around 10:30 and I tried something new...I felt so tired on my own that I didn't take a sleeping pill. I hate to say it, but I'm pretty dependent on them. Any suggestions on how to fall a sleep and stay asleep with out those wonderful little pills? Apparently I can't fall asleep without them. It's pretty pathetic, wouldn't ya say?
Anyways, I might as well do something productive instead of have a vent session on my blog, I guess I'll go finish the laundry.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Yesterday (the day before Thanksgiving), Kyle had surgery on his knee. The picture below is what the doctor found floating around under his knee cap. Ouch! No wonder Kyle's knee has been bugging him. That is my pointer finger next to the foreign body. Kyle's doing fine, mainly just feeling sick from the pain medicine.

Here's a story about Buddy the spider.

One day, almost 8 years ago, a young girl named Millie, went to the pet shop to find a fun birthday gift for her little brother, Ben. She was walking along looking at the lizards, birds, puppies, and guinea pigs when she came across a cute, fuzzy, spider named Buddy. One look at him and she had to get him for her little brother. So Buddy got scooped up and was on his way to his new home. After a few months, Ben forgot about Buddy. He was really sad. So his 2nd sister, Annie, took over and raised Buddy for the next few years. He was as happy as ever. But eventually she moved away. She missed Buddy and Buddy missed her. But then the 3rd sister, Sarah, adopted him. She did a great job taking care of him for a long time. She cleaned out his cage, fed him yummy crickets for dinner, and made sure he always had enough water to drink. One day, Buddy started to feel really sad. As much as he loved the family that raised him, he missed being out in the open air and having room to run around a play. Sarah and Annie decided that maybe it was time for Buddy to go back to the wild where he could be happy. So one bright and sunny day, they took him out in a big field, next to a beautiful lake. There were plenty of bugs and a lot of room to roam around. He was so excited when he got out of his cage! After some sad goodbyes, they left Buddy and he was free. Buddy was happy. THE END

This past week, Brady, Karissa, and Lily were visiting from D.C. It was so fun to have them here and to see the cute, little, Lily bug! She's getting so big and actually starting to grow hair on her head! :)

I had a ton of fun hanging out with them and I'm already so excited to have them here again at Christmas!

It was also way fun to have Ma and her sister Claudia in town at the beginning of the week. It's ALWAYS a good time with Ma!

Maybe you've heard, but if you haven't...Kyle and I bought a house!!! Hooray! I thought this day would never come. :) We are super super excited about it. When we first bought it, it needed a ton of work. We had many nights of staying over really late and working on peeling wallpaper, ripping out carpet, sanding, painting, and cleaning. We've had SO much help from our families and I can't thank them enough! Thanks everyone!!! So much has gotten done in such a short time and the house is looking great!!! We're still not in the house, but we are getting really close to moving in. Here are some pictures of the house as we've been working on it. I don't have recent pictures yet, but I'll get those soon and post them!

Also, some more very exciting news...Kyle got a new job. He'll be working for NuSkin and is pretty excited about it. He's been working for the Flash the last couple of years and has really enjoyed it, but is excited to try something new. NuSkin seems like a great company to work for, so I think this is an awesome opportunity for him. Good Job Kyle!

I just recently finished reading all the Harry Potter books (again) and I think that this movie followed the book very well. There were a few parts where they had to combine scenes, but it was still really close. I recommend it, but only if you've seen the other movies or read the books, otherwise it'd be confusing. :) Kyle loved the movie too and on the way to movie, he found himself in a deep conversation about Voldemort with me and my family. I was so happy, I finally made him into a Harry Potter geek, just like me!!!

This is Kyle posting here. In order to keep referring to this blog as "our" blog, Annie requires that I post every so often on here. With July being the current month, it seemed only appropriate that I take the chance to post about our very special four-year anniversary that occurred on July 1.

I can't believe all the things that have happened in the four years that Annie and I have been married. The pictures below will detail the adventure that I have gone through with regards to my hair. I had a nice head of hair for our wedding and honeymoon, followed up with long hair for years 2, and have now resorted to the bald look--which will probably be the look from here on after.

From left to right you will see us gazing in each other's eyes in love, Annie resting her head on my comforting and loving shoulder, a flip-flop of a popular wedding pose (my idea), and our families in front of the Provo Temple--where we were married on July 1, 2005.

We went on our honeymoon to Paris and London and were even there for the tragic terrorist attacks--which made for some interesting and scary train rides through London's underbelly.

From left to right you will see: Annie and I standing in front of the Eiffel Tower (she wanted to go to the top, I wussed out and we only went 3/4 of the way up), Annie and I standing in front of the Louvre Musuem in Paris, Me, standing in front of Buckingham palace (shortly after I was interviewed by some French news channel on my thoughts on the terrorists attacks in London), and Annie and I standing on the banks of the River Thymes with Parlament in the background.

We had so much fun, and I am so happy that Annie said yes when I asked her to marry me. She puts up with so much, and I couldn't have picked a better person to go through life with.

Parades and Carnivals

Now this is what I call Loyalty. Kyle's parents, Kyle, and I went to the Summerfest Parade in Orem a couple of weeks ago and sat through the rain for the Parade. We go every year, rain or shine and the picture below is proof. We didn't stay for the fireworks, but we stayed until the very end of the parade. We are TRUE fans.

We also went to the Strawberry Days Parade in Pleasant Grove with some of our friends. Again it was rainy, but a lot of fun (thanks pete and marie!). One night during Strawberry Days, we took our little friend, Cora, to the carnival. It was so funny to watch her on the rides. She loved it.

Last Friday night, Kyle and I went and saw Joel McHale. If you don't know who he is, he is the host of The Soup on the E! channel. We both love that show, it's so funny. Last weekend we went to D.C. to visit Brady, Karissa, and Lily. It was so fun to finally meet Lily. She's a doll. We love her and we already can't wait to see her again! We went out for the blessing of Lily Kay and it all went really well. Thanks to Karissa and Brady for letting us be there! Love and miss you guys!!! It was also fun to see one of Kyle's best friends, Beau. He, his wife, Cassie, and their cute baby Mckenzie drove up from Virginia to be there. One of the nights we went to a Nationals game, so that was a lot of fun Also, Kyle's great aunt, Aunt Bonnie came out from California and surprised Karissa and Brady. It was fun to see Karissa's reaction, she was so excited! It was so fun to see Aunt Bonnie. We only get to see her at Christmas time, so we were happy to have her there with us! Last week, Kyle and I went on a cruise! It was amazing. Neither of us had ever been on a cruise before. Originally the ports we were to go to were Grand Cayman and Cozumel, Mexico. A few days before we left, Carnival called us and said that they had canceled the Cozumel stop due to the Swine Flu. So we had 2 days in Grand Cayman. It was so awesome. The first day we did an excusion where we snorkled around the coral reef and in the Sting Ray City. I thought I'd be more scared swimming with sting rays, but it was awesome. Our tour guide kept telling us to just think of them as puppies cuz they are so gentle and friendly. It was so fun. The second day, we rented a scooter and drove to Hell. Of course we had to send some postcards home from Hell! Then we found different beaches and snorkled on our own the rest of the day. We saw a bunch of tropical fish and 2 squids. The water was 79 degrees! Beautiful! The ship was fun too. My favorite parts were the food, laying out while reading, and the sunsets. We loved the 24 hour pizza and ice cream too. :) We had an awesome vacation! It was hard to come back to reality. Here are some pictures of our trip...

Hooray! Kyle graduated! The night of his graduation day, we had a BBQ in my parent's backyard. It was fun to have everyone over. We were really excited that Ma (kyle's grandma)came into town! Easter/Birthday

Easter was awesome this year. Back in October, my family and I were lucky enough to get tickets to the touring broadway show, Wicked. We didn't realize back then that our tickets landed on Easter, but it turned out to be fun to go on that day. I've seen it before (thanks to my in-laws and kaitlyn's birthday a few years ago). It was awesome and I always wanted to see it again and have Kyle and my family see it. It was as awesome as I remember. If you have never seen it, I recommend it for sure!!!

My birthday was this past week and it was awesome! I worked all day and my co-workers are awesome and gave me an awesome party. Everyone brought stuff for a potato bar for lunch. It was delicious! After work, Kyle and I went to Magelby's for dinner, then over to my parents for presents and cake. Sarah made me an awesome cake and some things I got were...gift card (ryan and mille), money(dad and mom), clothes, shoes, a book(all Kyle), more shoes (Steph), 2 camera cases (Pete/Marie and Kevin/Kim), Kenney Chesney CD (Brady/Karissa), cute headbands (Kaitlyn) and...a gecko, yeah that's right. Sarah and Ben got me a Leapord Gecko. He is SOOO cute! I've been thinking about getting one for the last few weeks, so I was way excited they got me one! I named him Neville and as you can tell from the pictures, he's adorable! Thanks everyone for everything! I love it all!
The day after my birthday, Kyle's parents took Kyle and I to dinner for my birthday. We went to Gloria's. An Italian restaurant. It was so yummy! Thanks for taking us, Kevin and Kim! Those desserts were so good! I had a great birthday this year and I can't believe how old I'm getting...better stock up on the wrinkle cream!!! :)

Ryan and Millie's Wedding!

This last weekend my sister, Millie got married! Sweet! Her and Ryan tied the knot in Vegas last Saturday. I headed down with my brother on Friday. Kyle had to work on Friday night, so him and my other brother flew down to Vegas on Saturday morning. The wedding went perfect. Millie looked so pretty. My sister, Sarah and I were her bridesmaids and had really cool dresses. They were really fun to wear, but I don't know when else I'll wear it. I guess Kyle will have to take me to Prom or something. :) The ceremony was held in the Paris Hotel and it was beautiful.

After that the luncheon was at The Cheeseburger that was down the strip. It was funny walking down the strip in our wedding atire. We got a lot of looks, to say the least. The luncheon was really fun and had a hawaiian theme. After all the wedding stuff, I went shopping and kyle hit the sports bar (and did pretty good!). Kyle, Sarah, and I flew home on Sunday morning, it was nice flying and getting home quick, but the tubulance was the worst and I got so sick on the plane! Blah! It was a really busy weekend, but really fun! Congrats Ryan and Millie! Love you guys!

We Did It!!!

So, a couple of weeks ago Kyle and I ran in the St. George half marathon. It was really hard, but it was an awesome feeling to finish. St. George was beautiful and warm and we didn't want to leave, but eventually we had to come back to the smog and snow.
After looking through all the pictures we took down there, I found these two that I thought were hilarious next too each other...

As you can tell, we weren't feeling our best, but at least we finished, right? For some reason, after Kyle finished his back started tightening up (as you can tell from the second picture). I, on the other hand, was just hurting all over. We both finished with pretty good times. Kyle finished in 2 hours 27 min. and I finished in 2 hours 17 min. My sister, cousin, and friend all ran it too and they all did great. Hooray for us! Here are some more pictures...

Okay, so I'm really bad at this whole blogging thing cuz I never post anything. I thought I'd catch everyone up on some of the things we've been doing over the last couple of months.

In the middle of November, Kyle and I went to Spokane, Washington. It was fun for Kyle and I to see his mission again and visit people we haven't seen in a long time. We stayed a couple of nights in Spokane and a couple of nights in the Twisp/Winthrop area. We love going up there to see all the people Kyle met on his mission. It was a fun trip!

At the beginning of December, Karissa and Aunt Bonnie were in town. It was so much fun having them here! The Flanagan's have a tradition to wait to celebrate Thanksgiving until Aunt Bonnie is here. So Kyle and I get 2 Thanksgivings. It's Awesome! While they were here we went to Christmas Around the World and had front row seats. It was really fun. We all had a ton of fun with Aunt Bonnie and Karissa and want them to come back soon!
We had a great Christmas too. Every Christmas Eve morning, my entire extended family meets at Carl's Jr. for breakfast. Last year we started the tradition of wearing ugly Christmas sweaters to this event. Everyone looked so funny and there were some way ugly sweaters there this year. My family decided that we'd all match. So my mom and dad went to D.I. and Savers and bought us all matching white pants, white turtlenecks and red blazers. We looked ridiculous, but it was so funny. Kyle got way into character in his outfit along with a cigar and drink in his hands. I don't know what we'll do for next year's Christmas Eve breakfast, but I'm sure it'll be good. :)
Christmas day was a lot fun. We slept over on Christmas Eve at my parent's and spent the morning with them. Then we spent the rest of the day with Kyle's family. We were really spoiled this year. Kyle got a shot gun from my parents and a GPS gadget from his parents. I got a miniature Vespa-type scooter from my parents and a really nice camera (that I've been saving up for) along with photography lessons from Kyle's parents. I can't wait until it's warm outside, so I can ride my scooter to my parent's and back. It'll be awesome! Christmas was so fun this year!
Okay, now onto New Year's Eve. We had fun that night going to dinner and to see "Bedtime Stories" with Sarah and her friend, Joe. Then we just went back to my parent's and watched the ball drop on t.v., then called it a night. As you can tell, we are quite the partiers. It was nice to have the next day off of work. That morning we went to our annual breakfast with Kyle's family at Paradise Bakery (yummy!), then later went night skiing at Brighton Resort. Kyle and I haven't been skiing probably since we were in high school, so we were a little nervous to get back on the slopes, but surprisingly it came right back to both of us and we did pretty good. Kyle's way more daring than me and would fly down the hill so fast. I was a little more cautious. We had so much fun and want to go again soon.

Well, I think that's more than enough catching up for now. I'll try to keep up on it more, so my posts aren't like a novel from now on. :)

Kyle's triathlon!

A few weeks ago, Kyle did a triathlon here in Orem. He did amazingly well and I'm so proud of him. :) He did it along with his dad, my sister Sarah, and my cousin Heidi and they all did great. He finished in 1 hour and 21 minutes! Great Job Kyle!

Karissa tagged me for this game, so I here are 6 quirks about me.

1. I am obsessed about washing my feet. I'm sure a lot of people don't know this about me because its kind of embarrassing, I think. I HAVE to wash my feet before bed every single night or else I can't sleep. Sometimes, I have to wash my feet at random times during the day.

2. I love watching movies, which most people do. But after almost every movie I watch, I always want to watch it again right then.

3. I love ranch dressing on just about anything....just ask my mother-in-law. I think my favorite is on pizza. I also love ranch in my scrambled eggs.

4. One of my favorite things to do is color. I know I'm 25 years old, but I guess I never grew out of it. I have a stack of coloring books that I'll get out and color when kyle and I are watching t.v. or a movie. I also have to have a big glass of Lemonade when I color (and I think my sister, Millie, influenced this). :)

5. I just asked Kyle what another quirk I have is and he said that I love Halloween way too much. Halloween is probably my favorite holiday. I just love the atmosphere of it all and this year I'm excited to throw a party and dress up!

6. I can't touch popsicles sticks, toothpicks, wooden spoons, or anything like that. It literally makes me feel sick to my stomach. If that doesn't make sense, it's like fingernails on a chalkboard for me. Just thinking about it is giving me the chills.
